New winter car?

So i am turning 16 in a couple weeks and i am looking for a rally winter car that i can tune up and put a turbo and other stuff like that into it. Im on a lowish budget so if anyone knows something i can use that would be great

Subaru I think would be best and some of those had a factory turbo.. With AWD those are great little winter cars.. A little off the beaten track for old rodders like us..

Several Subaru models have a big following for various types of races. I don't know details; I've just seen how many are running in races.

Other choices might be early Honda Civics (no turbos, but lots of other mods), Toyota Supra (turbo models go for quite a bit more), or any number of Volkswagen Golf or Jetta models (some are turbo models). The Japanese cars are very popular, which is one reason I might go for German instead to save a little money. Read up on cars like the Golf GTI to get an idea of what you might find.

I own two Subies. Nothing low budget about them.

I know a guy who could get you into a 2002 Subaru Outback sedan H6 with 177,000 miles for cheap 🙂
