|bsa_bob2||Sorta still thinking that.but................got an idea and picked up threaded 5/8" rod --Rubber chair feet $2.00 and a couple joiner nuts ...coupling nuts.Tightened down. This rotissery doesn't move or wiggle. I can a shot up.in fact dinner isn't ready for while . I]l try apicture for these other guys who have been so good ,to try and help.....You also Shine. Here is my final idea .Think it will work good. May help someone else. Easily done ...no nickles cheapo .Saves bucks for my project thanks again bob s
My cameras gettin old!!like me. hope you can see it. Basically i just tighten the hex head with a wrench.thinking bout welding a wing on it--of some sort.

|bsa_bob2||Has anybody here ever tried 3/4" bolts thru and adjusting ..welded to the Rotissery legs Basically lifting the " this outfit" up a tad off the floor. Dong 3 legs would be quicker job. Whats your take on this idea, i think personally it could be a good way to go. AS i sat looking this "monsrtosity"on both ends of the 55. It dawned on me. bob s ..............whats your thoughts I'll wait awhile for feedback bob s|

drill a hole in the side of the bracket that holds the wheel. weld a nut centered over that hole so it intersects the side of the tire rubber area..
cut a piece of sheet metal into a V shape...punch a hole for the axle to slide thru at the bottom of the V.. . put some ears or bend it so it won't rotate away from the angles of the wheel bracket... install this on the inside of the bracket.. if you weld a washer to the head of a bolt. now you can lightly tighten the bolt and depress the V shaped with wings sheet metal piece in to LIGHTLY apply drag to the wheels..
if you do the same thing but make an UPSIDE DOWN U shape that is tack welded in place.. you can tighten the wing nut headed bolt that is at 45 degrees to it does not effect clearance of the wheel rotating directly into the middle of the tread.. locking your caster wheels in place.. you would probably only need to do two of them .. but you could do 4...

|Fasto44||We use angle iron chocks on our race tire carts. We made them out of 1 1/2" L angle. They are three pieces welded into a "C" shape. Make the "C' long enough for the other two legs to capture the caster wheel. They work realy well and are easy to make.|

|Oldguy48||Maybe a couple of C-clamps tightened on the casters would work. Or cut out a wooden wedge that you can jam between the top of the caster wheel and the underside of the steel "fork" that the caster wheel fits into.|
