Those are some sharp, close-together bends.

Rip VW When I bought my first house it was right under the approach to the main runways for SEA TAC airport. I got used to it but then sold and moved in right next to the pit area of Pacific Raceways. I lived there 24 years till I finally tired of the noise. Where I am at now you can hear a pin drop across the street. It's kind of strange...

Too Many Projects Speaking of April Fool, it was 20 years ago today that we moved into the house we sold last Sept. I felt like a fool for many years for, unknowingly, buying a house under an airport path. I thought 1.25 miles was good...

idrivejunk IDJ is sad and sentimental today now, isn't he?

Aww

As if. Not even. April fool.

Got txt request for first pic, next two are what caught my eye during the doing. Yeah he has a neat little backdrop at the boss cave. Patio fence is all weathered old truck tailgates.

Got a nibble on the middle one, "3 tone". The qwiky with misaligned layers.

Went hunting for the eyebleach and found a half dozen from right around when hobbyist Matt passed away. Between 05 and 10. Many moons!

No can do, Rip. See above. I'd be happy to oblige but the experiment is already a few hours of life I'll never get back.

Only things that appealed to me that could include yellow were some like dark copper, red orange, charcoal. I'd probably have a two toned C stripe on mine while we're iffin' around. Blue color family. And a scoop.

Remember, this is aimed at the owner, Matt, not you.
Your shop job is good. The gold and yellow just don't go together.

I think he will end up yellow with gold GT stripe and wheel spokes, thats it. Colors are set in stone and I never liked them for a day and he knows it ten times over. He is the only one I know who likes the colors together except show judges. Hung jury, case closed. The "best use of color" trophy has spoken.

The engine and bay are color coordinated and for him, colors are valid and current. Been on there since '09. His choices sell and win awards, mine just get "Nice car!" hollered at me like a bazillion times.

Getting your locks adjusted may take some time and you'll need to be able to hear them snap into place. The installer who moved the 1 to the back sets the 2 locks at the rear, from the control, to snap simultaneously and the lock at the control right after and finally, the other side of the rack from the control right after that. He explains, that in that order, you actually hear, and know, that they are all locked. The minute difference in height from the back 2 to the last front is so negligible as to not be an issue.
Yep, this one is a heavy duty commercial unit. 12K capacity, with two 6K rolling Jacks. Should be good to go once I get it adjusted properly. Good idea on adjusting the locks. Makes sense to me, being able to hear all of them click. The 2-post we set up in dad's shop lock sequence depends on how the car is centered. I will eventually end up with another lift, probably one of the hobby parking lifts, but it will depend on what I find used. Frugal is as frugal does, yes?
