Neither the wipers nor power brakes need much air. It is the amount of vacume that is important. With a mild cam you should be fine. The wipers have issues at high throttle because vacume drops. The prakes are not used at full throttle but with accelerator released. They will receive full vacume and should work fine.

You can get the vacuum canister from a junk yard.. sand it a little bit, spray paint with plastic rated paint, OH I JUST REMEMBERED !.. .I drilled out the canister tube connector and tapped the plastic for a brass fitting, cause the connector was tiny.. thought it better to put a 1/4" brass threaded nipple in there ...

Generation of enough vacuum to operate power brakes is dependent on the camshaft duration and lobe separation angle. A stock or mild grind flathead cam should easily drive a booster, regardless of the number of carburetors attached to the intake manifold. If there is no vacuum port drilled and tapped into the intake manifold, I would use a carb spacer under the primary carb (on a 3-carb system) and drill and tap the spacer for vacuum. With a 2-carb system, I would use spacers under both carbs just to keep the eyeball correct, then drill and tap just one of them for vacuum, probably the rear one.

power brake vacuum
hi i have a flathead and want to use power brakes do you think i will have enough vacuum to operate the booster? and where is the best source to get the vacuum from the intake has two strombergs on it. i seen posts on here that refer to a pump that helps but not in detail how and if it works?? any thoughts?
