Too Many Projects Well, it's happening. I talked with Terry this morning in VA and reserved an enclosed trailer to rent for Saturday pickup and will leave here early Sunday morning. The Chevelle will be in his hands Monday morning...
The excitement for getting this car to a better finish level and then assembled this summer is building again.

idrivejunk I know I wish I had held out for a two car garage. Bodyworked my 69 in there but one is enough of that!

It does appear to me, size matters Brian..............

Dave57210 Living on nothing but clear fluids today. Surgery scheduled for 6:30 AM tomorrow to fix my prolapsed ostomy, so that I can go back to using "normal" ostomy appliances. For the past few months I have had to wear huge custom made ones to contain the 9 inch long prolapse (plus the output from it all)

Have to take purgative solution at 5 PM and again at 10. That stuff is VILE!

However, have been cancer free since 2003 so its worth the hassle.

idrivejunk A new beginning for me today, too. About to lay first hands on something newer now. But not too new.

I wish there could be a safari between elephant feasts.

Now for a new ending-

Marsha walked around a bit, going OK with her. Other one was at a point of docs not being able to do more for for her lung cancer and was waiting for the ambulance to ride home in with her husband this morning and she just flew away. What a sweet woman. School teacher. Little younger'n me.

Theres that and by no means should you let it drag down the "Ha!" vibe. These are not close ones but loved ones and I am mourning but not moping. It is good to hear news of solid healing progress.Tubes are coming out left and right.

MARTINSR I'm sorry Rip, I can't be happy for you, you piss me off getting that shop, JERK!

I got my right running board apron fit and basically finished. I need to drill out some holes so the bolts will go through but it's looking good!

Rip VW No Apple Pie here, Mmmm Now if you did a blackberry cobbler better than my Grandma did that would be worth the cost of a trip. Mmmmm I love blackberry cobbler served warm with a scoop of ice cream on it. Oh my that is heaven...

Now on to better news... I was awoken this morning to the sound of woodchucks chuckin wood! I looked out front to see what was happening wasn't woodchucks but my contractor laying out materials to build the walls of the new shop today. They started about 7:30 am and had the majority of the framing done at quitting time. There still a couple of header beams to go up but they plan to start sheeting it tomorrow and figure that will be done at the end of the day. Monday is truss day so progress is finally happening. The floor pour will be the last step I believe after the building is complete.

So the new shop is finally getting done. This has been too long to make happen but at least it is happening.. WOOOOOO HOOOOOO

Yes, there are three attachments/pivots that came with vinyl lock nuts which are next to useless. All need corrections.

When you get that good with apple pie, I will have to fabricate a reason to come down there...

I AM hoping to get my "stuff' together and deliver the Chevelle to Wytheville VA in a week or so, but it's quite far from Chattanooga to just drop by..[/QUOTE]

You know, I'll bet some good juicy Fugi apples would make a good pie!

I have been to Wytheville many times. It is along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Parkway used to be one of our favorite motorcycle destinations when we were riding. If you can, ride a little of it while you are down south even if you have to do it in the pickup.

If you do extend the trip and turn it into a short vacation, the apple pie will be waiting.
