Steve shot the Champaign Bel Air accent stripe today and I am supposed to shoot the Red and clear on Thursday... Be still my heart!

|Too Many Projects||
Seems like a long time since I posted anything here, but it's really only been a few days. Our "old" house officially went on the market last Tuesday, but had been listed on the local realtors "coming soon" market for 3 days before that. We had SEVEN viewings the first day, 3 the next and 2 after that. One of the couples that looked at it on Wednesday made an offer on Friday and we sold it on Saturday. Full price, no contingencies or demands...yet. There is a home inspection on Thursday. I bought a new water heater tonight and need to get it in and operational by Wednesday evening. The old one wasn't up to code anymore and was 17 years old, so I may as well do the swap myself and save the labor. They also are able to do a quick close...5 weeks, which means I need to get my arse moving and get the shop empty, except I don't have room for it all. Today I rented a 10x24 storage locker to fill and then bring the rest here. We spent all day last Friday and yesterday, STILL getting personal items out of the house and garage and there is another trailer load and then furniture to move out of the house yet. GOOD GAWD, we accumulated a LOT of stuff in 19 years...
On my new building, I had a surveyor out today to establish the property lines and where the building will sit to get a permit. I am strongly considering extending it another 8 feet to 30x48, to accommodate the 2 lifts better. Only another $2,500 for that, so may as well.
Things are still moving along at a breakneck pace, but it will all fall in place in another 8-10 weeks...

|cozwurth||I did spend a little time out in the garage this afternoon. Figured I'd spend a little time on the smallest, easiest project that I have going right now. My canoe. The wooden rails were rotted away, and the paint was very chalky. I had already removed the rails, or what was left of them, anyway, so I flipped it over and started sanding the paint off of the bottom. Got most of one side sanded down. A little more sanding on the side of the keel and I'll have half of it done.|

I had to surf it up. At a glance I wondered whats with the crummy gas mileage rating on those?

|idrivejunk||My GTP repair efforts stopped cold, haha. I had assumed I had access to a working A/C machine. I do not. Thats that! Compressor loosely fastened to frame is as good as it gets.|

|cozwurth||Piddled out in the garage for a little bit. Since I have the '65 Pontiac listed, I took a look at that. After sitting untouched for over 20 years, the engine is not stuck. I put a breaker bar on the front hub and was able to turn it over some. I've been having visions of a '65 Pontiac 'patina' rod...just getting it mechanically sound and driving it as-is. My uncle told me that he had it running, but it smoked like a freight train. It has anti-foulers on 5 of 8 plugs, so I have no delusions of running it without some major mechanical work there. Engine oil is full, but the trans dipstick came up dry. But I really need to thin the herd... I got a nibble on the ad, maybe the hook can be set and save me from myself...|

Finally everyone left! Was hosting a reunion (sort of) of my old University Frat group. (No not ALL of 'em but 8 guys plus their wives, girlfriends and significant others had descended on us for a week)
As of noon today, wife and I have the place to ourselves again for the first time since last Saturday!
