gearheadslife fix the pan first as it's the easyest..
it might be leaking out the dipstick tube. as the truck/car sits the fuild drains back from the converter. basicly over filling the trans and it will leak out a dipstick tube thats not sealing or missing the o ring..

and yes if it was leaking out the front seal it be on the coverter If leaking while running I'd while your changing the pan gasket.. spray brake clean on the front face of the trans converter area.. and get it nice and clean.. then if you see a line of red fuild running down the front behind the converter after sitting you'll know thats it..
mine leaks there when sitting, and I'll change it when I r&r the engine.
good luck.. my bets on the o ring and dipstick tube

350 trans leak

If my front seal is leaking would I see fluid on my converter and flywheel? Reason I asked is because I dropped my trans pan because there was fluid around my front pan gasket and seen someone also had some rtv along front maybey previouse leak. After trk sits it leaks about a quart. If I try a gasket should what is the best rtv along with the gasket, red? Thanks Dana
