John long I spoke to Steve today. He knew I had intended to french the headlights on Precious using a pair of '54 Merc headlight bands. He ask me to bring them up tomorrow. Since he had to take the front fenders off again anyway he is going to look at going ahead and frenching them before we paint the front clip.

I am surprised he would be interested in doing that but I will gladly let him do it if he decides he would like to.

Pretty cool.

John

BTW, The reason there has been no more talk of paint is it was 98 degrees here today. No relief in sight until the end of next week. Steve's shop has A/C but the paint booth doesn't.

The brown cans are reducer. The base mixes 1:1 . I figured 1 1/2 gallons of clear by the time I did under the hood and all. My intent is to shoot 3-4 coars, block it level with 600-800 and shoot 3 more coats before color sanding and buffing.

One of the really cool things about the Universal clear is you can cut and buff it weeks or months after spraying. That will be perfect for my situation.

I hope I haven't gone crazy.
