We started a trivia thread over at another forum and it has been a lot of fun.
Here are the ground rules. It starts with one question. The first reply with the right answer gets the floor for a new question. It continues like that unless, A) the person who has the floor doesn't ask a new question, or B) no one gets the correct answer. In that case, the person with the floor asks a new question. No more than one question on the floor at a time, and discussion/clarification is welcome until the floor is taken over by a new question.
First question: In the 1952 Indy 500, what type of fuel was burned in the record-setting pole-position #28 car? Hint: it won pole position by a full 4 mph over the second-place Ferrari
I don't much care for the push models,,when I was around 15 I traded for an Indian Chief,my dad told me if I bought a motorcycle to get a Small on they were eaiser to push,, bikes were not very dependable back then especially one a 15 year old could afford,
I don't think there is a question going on so I'll just stick my nose in with a query of my own.
What is this and what do you use it for. I dug it out of my Old Man's Tool Box
Please excuse me for jumping in here but when I found that tire spreader in the Old Mans Tool Box I came across these also.
What are the and what do they do?
Looks like a combination lug nut wrench and tire spoon for changing tires on the road. Not sure what the swivel end is for......maybe it fits the axle nut for re-greasing the leather "bearing"...
The Camaro original name was to be panther , the Z28 was a Special Performance Package ,Z27 was the SS package,,don't know of another name for the Z28 unless you are referring to the Panther
The "Z" in Z28 was not chosen to honor the legendary Zora Arkus-Duntov as has been reported. The Z28 designation was at first nothing more than another option code, along with others like Z23 for the Special Interior Group, or Z87 for the Custom Interior. But Z28 caught on with the public and ultimately became an official model name. However, Z28s built in 1967 had no external identification other than wide racing stripes. ot this from the Camaro Source ,
Well I'll toss my hat in the ring. I believe the internal Z/28's working name was
"302 Special Performance". did you guys know that the Camaro was almost named "Cheetah"?
