BuzzLOL . Those crate engines were sold from like 1972 - 2015... but the design is similar to what was used in vehicles from 1972 - 1985... so that's the years of vehicle (cars/trucks) parts to look for... (not Corvette and not high performance)

poncho62 welcome.....

10066036...350...........2 or 4...Target Master/Goodwrench crate motor, 2-piece rear
seal, "Hecho en Mexico"

As for a year, tune up parts are pretty standard throughout the years....69-74 has a points distributor,,,,,75 on would have the HEI with the coil in the cap...Which is yours?

My name's Jeff, I live in the warming up state of Maine. As I am not a motor head I do struggle a bit working on my own rides, but I do ok. If I don't know, I am not afraid to ask questions. I bought a 1961 VW beetle on a Chevy s10 frame, with 350 s/b. I too have a casting # 10066036, it also has a 94 in a circle, 3 GM and on other side it has 217. I have looked for date stamp in all the places it should be, but..... nothing. Out side of pulling engine off from trans to look at the face of mounting flange I am stuck. I need to know the year so I can buy tune-up parts ie.... plugs wires oil filter, and gasket kit for upper engine as things are leaking by. As this is all I can find for #'s can anyone help me with my dilemma.
