Well, thank you for the vote of confidence but it was a fail. Now it pours at the bracket end. Maybe I should not clamp the brace to the elbow.
My conclusion is I should try plastic elbows, use RTV before installation, stuff more in behind that best I can, let sit overnight, refill, and hope for the best. So, right now I am shuffling things to the GT and moving it into the garage, making sure it has coolant, then tackling laundry and such and trying to forget about it until I can start throwing minutes per night on it. Probably be next weekend and that Friday afternoon is ate up by Christmas party. Big inhale, small exhale. GT needs the work, I reckon.

it comes in a can, disguised as paint....
I HATE painting, but I may end up finishing a room downstairs that our son started a month ago. I'd like it done before we have the family over on Christmas eve and he is busy with finals for school...

Funny, I was just talking to my boss Friday on a company trip in the car across town about his weekend and it was finishing up cutting boards he made for Christmas gifts. I have to say, his were damn cool looking but I think you have kicked his butt!

Well, they look good in the picture. There are definitely things that I would do differently. It's been a while since I've done any real woodworking, and is the first time I've used my planer. Next ones will be better.
I'm really hoping that the concrete will be in the works this week.

Howzat bronze applied, just melt the stick onto the steel with torch?
Regardless, still liking where its headed.
I am shamefully concocting an elbow holding contraption from scrap. But am in the garage touching and thinking on a car, woohoo.

Bronze, wag and dab back an forth for more coverage. Just try not to melt the steel. It was too black, so too hot. Too lazy to walk to the welder to turn it down. Bondo will finish the inside fillets.
And like you, with some lumpy welding, we better be handy with a grinder, ha....
