|matt167||They are 12V. I just wasn't sure if they would cause the other lights to go inop because there is a lot more resistance in an incandescent bulb|

|36 sedan||If they are for a 12 volt system they will already have a resistor inside and as you are using them as parking lights only no other resistors are needed.|

adding LED parking lights to license lights?
My 1992 Suzuki Carry imported truck has no front parking lights by design. They use only " City Lights " in the front which are basically 194 bulbs in the corners of the headlights that act as parking lights... There are amber lights, but by design are for turning only. I've checked wiring, fuses, switches and diagrams as well as the replacement light housings/ lenses being called " turn signals "
The truck is DOT exempt so it's all legal just as it is but I'd rather have amber parking lights on the front. It's just not right without them
I'm going to add 3/4" LED amber clearance lights with a smoked lense to the very bottom of the front bumper.. I want to tap into the license plate light circuit at the back rather than mess with stuff in the cab and grommets ect... Question is because that split circuit would have less resistance than the incandescent license lights, do I need a resistor? I plan on 2-3 lights per side. I bought 10 but won't be using all of them.. I solder and shrink all my connections, not that it matters. It's about 90" of wire that would be needed to the very last light and I bought 16ga wire.
The bumper is black, the smoked black lense lights should be pretty much un noticed when off
