|justanoldfarmtruck||I like the looks too, especially with a different center cap. Ive found the front wheels I need from Summitracing.com. Before I pull the trigger I wanted to see if you guys knew of any other hot rod style wheel that would fit.|

I've always liked smoothies because they have duel bolt pattern, are strong, cheap and you can get any offset for a couple of bucks more. Upkeep is easy too. To change the look, paint the wheel except for a "beauty ring". High dollar billet fads come and go...smoothies stay.

I will have to look through my files as I have that CRS at this age but I just received some 15x10 5.5 backspace from a company that will make wheels to order..
hang in there as that info is out there..

Need your thoughts on wheels
1936 Chevy Pickup. It's been on the road since 1998 with varying sets of wheels, ansen mags, chrome smoothies. I put a set of 14x6 and 15x8 chrome smoothies on in 2003. With 185/60-14's in front and 255/60-15's out back. I'm in a position now to put the right wheels on. I need 5.5" of backspacing on a 7" wide rim to get the front tires to tuck in a bit better than now. The front wheels now are 14x6 with 3.75" backspace.
I'm looking at a set of 16x7 and 16x8 chrome smoothies with 195/55/16 and 235/60-16 general tires. Fronts are 5.5 backspace. Im a bit worried my hubcaps will stick way out more than they do now.
The reason I have this issue is my truck has a firebird front clip. Super wide. It drives great and is easy to work on so I'm keeping the front end setup as is.
Front bolt pattern 5x4.75" rear is 5x4.5" ford 9"
I've always wanted a set of torque thrusts like everybody else does but they dont seem to make them with deep offsets.
So, I'm looking at 16" smoothies, ( i use the 1956 chevy hubcaps) or something else. $1500 budget. My old wheels are a bit rusty from being parked outside 10 years ago so i'm ditching them altogether. The tires are also 14 years old....
Do you have any suggestions for wheels other than what I've found so far? Chrome smoothies or weld rodlites are all ive found with 5.5" backspace on a 15x7 or 16x7.
