4 hour work day for me at the shop. Used the time to do a valve body swap on a '01 Jetta 1.8t auto .... I successfully installed a transbrake on the car .... that however wasn't my intention.

Its in 2 gears at once in park, all other gears (R/N/D/2/1) are forward gears.... they all seam to be first gear.

I have it torn back down most of the way. Tuesday I'll actually get the VB back out and see whats up.... but part of me wants to take it out for a test drive the way it is just for the fun of it.

i wondered WHY you posted that picture! haha

anyway my WIFE is fine. well, i'd give her about a D as far as a grade goes. Her DAUGHT (dot) is the one in the hospital. She's doing great. talking and moving somewhat lethargically tho. doesnt appear to be brain damage, no stroke. was something just called, i think brain bleed? no aneurysm. which is good, as often there is no stroke associated with it. they gave here some kind of drug that is screwing her up, so they are going to deal with that then send her upstairs, out of ICU! yea! Yeah, so the whole world is kinda revolving around her and this thing now. it's an hour drive down there and 2.5 hrs back if you want to leave after 3.30pm like i did friday, at my wife's insistence. wtf, she drove. but still, LAST time i do that one. havent had any work to do all week to speak of, so i didn't miss any spending the whole week down there. i'm just there to hold the wifie's hand pretty much. hate to be a dick but i have never been the biggest fan of her dot. not that i wanted her to die or anything. just MOVE OUT, after all she's like 35!!! so now i'm stuck with her for God knows how long, but i do know this, if she'd had a stoke i'd never get her out of here! what ever. my life is already a living hell, what difference is a little more gasoline gonna make? btw i'd like to thank all of you and the rest of the country, except the 1% who don't pay taxes, for financing this whole thing, as she is on Obamacare all the way.

cerial, where were you when they labeled the breaker box at my house?

Bull, I'm glad you explained because we thought maybe the wife was Dot, short for Dorothy and you were not freaked out at a satisfactory level,. Got it now, still sux. I had to fix my GP printed circuit once, used twisted wire. Found a good one later.

I posted the GP wash text with the Model T because I heard snoring and figured everyone had fallen asleep in their chairs.

Dave, that image is fake, I altered a coupe pic from the web. Your initial reaction is spot-on though. A cool friend who likes tall Ts wanted to see an extended cab fleetside model T Ranchero. I might call it a RancheroT. Shortened the rear window, added wheelbase, used sedan back end cut at belt, added curve to roof at box to allow flat bed front panel.

David that bed slide is nice. Not for everyone's needs but sure beats reaching.

Oh I did not take a pic today but did have a good day on the Pontiac floor. It was all apart at quitting time but I'm half done with driver's pan. Left toe board next and thats real simple, then tunnel. Mother Nature heard me say clean cars and she rained hard today. Warm though.

Glad to see people are making progress. I got the shop cleaned up a bit and spent about an hour and a half with the MIG and hot wrench getting three studs out of my exhaust manifold. Success at last.

Believe it or not, The other manifold that was origional to the engine was busted in two right between number 3 & 5 cylinders. It was just barely held together in one spot. Fortunately I was able to scrounge up another one to replace it.

Pugsy bought Barb and I a great hamburger and also brought me some stainless scraps and a couple of shrinking discs to try.

Pretty cool. Thanks Pugsy! Hope you have a safe trip home.::thumbup::thumbup:

Put in a little more time on my friend's Chevelle.

Cut another piece of old floor pan to "form" as a patch.

After forming and screwing down to mark where to cut holes for welding to the support brace.

All welded in..

Minimal seam sealer underneath and it will look OK.

Thats some pretty thick air you're welding to! Way to make it safer to drive without much fuss. :)
