I am thinking finding someone with one isn't going to be easy. How about posting some photos of your car and what you want to do and we walk through just making what you need. It sounds like a pretty easy project.

LaSalle convertible hinged window frame
I have a 1936 Auburn boattail speedster project that i will begin work on next year. The car itself is a fiberglass replica built on a stretched '73 Impala station wagon frame and is the 4-passenger phaeton variant. The side windows, front and back are currently Plexiglas in a chromed frame. I'd like to replace these with unframed glass similar to what I have on my '39 Plymouth phaeton. However, the Plymouth uses a modified '49 Chevy convertible top that has upper channels for the windows built in to it. The Auburn does not meaning that the windows fit loosely into pockets in the cloth to itself.
A few years back, I met a fellow at a car show who had hotrodded a late '30s LaSalle convertible and it had these nifty small, folding, detachable window frames that provided an excellent transition from window to top. I have not been able to find any detailed pictures of these frames and I think that they would be a welcome addition to the Auburn.
Does anyone have a LaSalle that could provide some detailed pictures? Or even a link to such images? I'm guessing that this part is not something that LaSalle owners photograph and post lots of images about and my Google-fu has turned up nothing. That would be most appreciated.
