idrivejunk I gotta bust out a general good mood post even though I caught a coolant whiff today. Thats just the 3800 life, yo. Living it.

Let the good spirits of the day get into the cups of regulars who thirst but aren't saying much. In case things are intense. Like I hope David is just having login troubles and such, and that Brian has access to a V8 soon if thats not the case. Sunsets from yesterday for you and you and you.

Thats a "last man out" "parting shot" o' the day. My DupliColor clear job on the JY bumper is getting shaggy after a few seasons in the sun.

I say cooler because its gonna get real slick. Tidy. I get it. Very narrow pocket but deep and tall. Sure does get into the underdash area. Not that there isn't room to spare there at the outside. I would say them was worth the fuss. Leastwise if'n the dream comes true.

Your car is just ... fat. Give that thing some exercise one day, willya?

cozwurth I did get some good news today, anyway. The county approved my plans for the building. Gotta pay them and get the paperwork. Calling the concrete guy tomorrow, too.

Can't say I've bought many parts but if it was me, I would be looking to resolve it as close as possible to while the iron is hot. Thats just unfortunate. Hope it works out amicably.

That's a good point. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what we can work out.

We will work out the details tomorrow, but I think they will be shipping me a roof panel, and I will be taking this one back to them in April when we head back to Duke. Crap.

My door is on. Yippee, but they didn't leave until 3:45 and with the completely overcast, foggy and drizzly day, there wasn't much light in the building to drop the lift. I did and I think it's about as good as I can do, but I need to push it around a little when I can see in there. It got quite dark by the time I shut the door and came in.]
Yeah, that was what we were initially talking about with them. But, my wife and I were talking about it during dinner, and I think I may ask them to hold off and not ship the roof. I have enough other work to be done on the car that I can stay busy until well after April / May. Lots of other stuff going on in addition to the car. All of the blame is not theirs. I helped load it in my truck, and even looked at it while I was strapping it down. He pulled it from the shipment and didn't notice, and we loaded it and didn't notice. I'll find out more tomorrow when I call them back.

Yep, not my vehicle, shop or tools AND I get paid to slice and dice...

Home today, waiting on my overhead door. I am anxious to get the first lift in and start moving cars out of the "shop" building. I just finished fabricating some support straps for the hydraulic reservoir I ripped off the lift, pulling it out of the other building. Once I have them on and the fluid topped off, I will be ready to place it in the new building. Just finished lunch and I'm ready to unload this thing.

COME ON door people, where are you ??

Guess I'm kind of there right now too. Dave and I cut off the front 5 ft of mangled frame under the Jeep yesterday. Only setback to reinstalling is, he bought a frame from a 4 cylinder and I had to cut the engine and steering shaft mounts off BOTH frames to locate and weld the 6 cylinder mounts on the replacement frame... Seems it would have been far less time and labor consuming to get the right frame to begin with, but who am I to suggest that now, a YEAR later ?? Yeah, this thing has been sitting around for a year already. Good thing I come back to work in the winter so something gets done in the backroom..
Forgot the camera, again, so these are phone pics...sorry, not the best, but better than nothing...
