Sure, but I was playing around, checking the extent of the shrinking capabilities.

And besides, I absolutely HATE cutting holes in sheet metal.
I could have just brought the piece to the shop and punched a 2" hole on our Rotex. However, when I retire, I will be doing everything with what I have, so why not start now?

I did have a hole saw at home, coulda used that. I used it for the driver side hole in the defog duct.

Wouldn't be shaping.

I think he was makin himself one of them thar Jethronaughts.

Today's afternoon commute was odd. Rolled through seven green lights in a row.

It was 68 degrees.

Actually got to look at a clean GTP for three whole days, too.

Theres gonna be hell to pay for that little shot of grace. Most folks would buy a lotto ticket.

cozwurth I put the power steering pump on the Z, and pretty much got the air bled out. Letting it sit overnight, and will tinker again tomorrow evening. I think I'll be heading down to Ausley's to swap out the roof panel on Saturday. I spoke to them this morning, and they were discussing shipping the panel to me but I asked them not to. I don't want to deal with possible damage during shipping. They were very apologetic about the mistake, and said that they would do something for me when I get there. I'm taking my share of the blame as I helped load the box, and even looked at the 3" high lettering that says "66-67" while I was cinching down the ratchet straps.
I paid for my building permit, so that should be in my possession soon. Not sure if I still have to go by the county office, or if they will be emailing it to me. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I spoke with the concrete guy this evening. He says that he can get started next week. I'm not expecting too much since Thanksgiving is next week. The building itself is 4-6 weeks out, not including the holidays, but also depends on the concrete.

Getting to the point of sorting fasteners and organizing is a desirable goal, after a monumental move. I don't see me getting to that point until next summer. No heat in the "shop" building this year. I'll be working as much as I can stand all winter to get funds for the existing building upgrade to a workable shop.

idrivejunk I gotta bust out a general good mood post even though I caught a coolant whiff today. Thats just the 3800 life, yo. Living it.

Let the good spirits of the day get into the cups of regulars who thirst but aren't saying much. In case things are intense. Like I hope David is just having login troubles and such, and that Brian has access to a V8 soon if thats not the case. Sunsets from yesterday for you and you and you.

Thats a "last man out" "parting shot" o' the day. My DupliColor clear job on the JY bumper is getting shaggy after a few seasons in the sun.

I say cooler because its gonna get real slick. Tidy. I get it. Very narrow pocket but deep and tall. Sure does get into the underdash area. Not that there isn't room to spare there at the outside. I would say them was worth the fuss. Leastwise if'n the dream comes true.

Your car is just ... fat. Give that thing some exercise one day, willya?

cozwurth I did get some good news today, anyway. The county approved my plans for the building. Gotta pay them and get the paperwork. Calling the concrete guy tomorrow, too.

Can't say I've bought many parts but if it was me, I would be looking to resolve it as close as possible to while the iron is hot. Thats just unfortunate. Hope it works out amicably.

That's a good point. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what we can work out.

That's when I realized that the box says 66-67 roof panel, not 68-72. Three + hours down the road when I finally paid attention to the box. Called them and caught them just before they closed. We will work out the details tomorrow, but I think they will be shipping me a roof panel, and I will be taking this one back to them in April when we head back to Duke. Crap.
