Thanks. Nope. Need to get mount pieces going.

We need about 2-3" of tub inside the bed. Our intent is to use old fenders to make tubs. A common practice, I am told. No rodding of edges has been discussed but exhaust outlets on fenders behind wheel has, as well as custom tail lights. And roll pan. Theres a lot of stuff not on the list, I even forgot dash. Felt like an insurance adjuster writing a total, kinda.

I had the right hinge post out to weld up. Tacked back now, at the previously told quarter inch higher location. So hinge tubes are straight across bottom of dash. Then I'll assure that I have matching side to side vertical distances from rocker top to top hinge tube and should be in business-

idrivejunk Mission accomplished. Moving on-

That'll do. Also this morning, spent some time listing the remaining metal work. Scary, theres a long way to go and a short time to get there.

Yep, slice and dice. The future is here.

Thank you. Click the details tab and compare dimensions. Yes. Looks like your camera is set on max res.

idrivejunk Theres a couple more things, suspicions, that I can share before it's back to the shack.

I suspect that in time, reattempts by me or revisions by blogger will lead me to that button I can't seem to find. Thats what she said.

I also suspect that in time, free Blogger as well will board the column width equalization train. When I started using it, the page ( Old car body repair pic dump No words, no ads. ) would show all images at full res. That put their menu in the middle of the first pic.

Nowadays, seemingly at random, pics change size both on the site and the edit page. I write that off to memory and browser flukes and the background ad battle I choose to have going. But things displayed properly now are more abbreviated. On the site and the edit page, default is now medium size. Fullsize is seen by clicking pic. Original res can be selected for each pic.

First part of a month, the site shows a list of blogs. Rest of the time, you go straight to my page. But if somewhere that month, and original res pic is present column width adjusts to suit and unless it is the top pic (and they do get jumbled chronologically on occasion) the menu isn't on top of it.

But I wouldn't put it past Google to pull the rug out from under the punch bowl and me. Thats the trend, remember Photobucket and my thousands of lost images and roached threads. That would leave me with email, pfft. To show a full image that is half the size of what my phone will do. Email may be throttled as well. Whoever didn't figure bloat would ever catch up with the internet was asleep in class.

If the "large" or "extra large" blogger image size remained and were satisfactory, I might could cope. Otherwise, my objectives would have to change. I only been posting pics here.

So ya know. Now, go home.

And come to think of it, that explains a lot about one of you.

Anyhow. My hosting site put up a notice of new interface coming. Over the following weeks, that message changed as the release was pushed back. One day, snap... new thing. Just like this site's impending software change will occur, kinda by suprise although you have been notified.

The other day, after all that, the blog notice said that after their new default interface release, the old would be available until a specific date in August. I kept you posted.

Right now, both are available. When I percieved the swap, I was crapping. Ha. Never let it be said I can't multitask. Wanting to make weekday-short work of it, I rolled with the new interface. Damn if I could find a way to upload pics but they say it's improved. Maybe it is set up for single left handed users because a lot of blogspot addresses have for many years been porn. Or so I hear.

I tapped the settings icon and every other one. No more words to tap on, only a bewildering array of puzzling icons as per global but stupid if you ask me, trend. Settings icon gives a menu with legacy interface on it and I taps hell outta that.

Today I observe that the August date for ending availability of the legacy interface has been removed, suggesting future availability of both with no timeframe. Just in case I am reading wrong, I taps me some "read more", and that I does. Ug-ug-gug, slipped into Popeye talk there for a sec.

Read more brings up a notice obviously written at the time of change announcement and states there will be no legacy interface.

Now you're up to speed. Explanations of simple things at times requires so much blah-blah-blah-IDJ that I don't bother. Not often though.

Damn....don't you love when they start using pics instead of words. Ikea instructions and other furniture are the same way. It drives me batty.

Looks like since you tapped the "new", they took away the "old". Just like updating phone. The new version is there to stay.

I went to the thread I posted, clicked the pic and it opened up in a new window. Then there are icons on this new window, (of course), one to make it bigger, but it goes larger than the screen. That's what will happen here.

idrivejunk Here is an example of the detail difference I strive to maintain. If you see a bar indicating the images have been resized, tap or click that on each one. The reason they appear the same size before that click or tap is that this site has learned an important lesson and done this in order to avoid wild variations in column width (see difference in lines of text after tapping "view full image". That. ) which generates many complaints if allowed. Other sites approach this by yelling rules at everyone if some post stuff too big for the forum owner's monitor. Egad!

The top image is hosted here, the bottom is from blog. Now say I post that I've patched a fender or assembled a short block (I wish )...

You could see if I have left a bunch of holes in my weld and grinder-gouged it too deeply. You could stop me if I had honed cylinder walls with 100 grit. Educational, see? If I take too long on something, the reason may be in details you wouldn't see elsewhere and your opinion of my speed may not reflect reality accurately. I don't want that.

Some might argue that no viewer requires such a level of detail, to learn from. Perhaps not. Bet you thought I was talking about educating viewers but I know you know how to do this stuff. I figure I can learn more from you than the other way around. That explains why a quiet house troubles me, this reached a point where I learn nothing by posting. You just get to watch me wade through a random mix of old car and truck bodies and your interest varies based on the familiarity or preference for the vehicle or task which you have personally. Because I put it out there and you're kinda into bodywork. I get that.

Just making a point there. Somebody let me know if those pix look the same to you.

The site software change here could affect all of this. Or not. With that assumption, I stop and make no predictions for the post-change experience.

I'll post another "few words" explaining the experience I am having on Blogger. Filling in necessary detail, so you all understand. Please note that I have expressed no dis-satisfaction with that site.

Of course, I send all my phone pics to my desktop first, so probably different for you.....

However, I just started a new thread on a forum with the same platform we're going to using my phone just now. Easy as pie, and no pic resizing required.

I'd visit if I still had one. I believe relevance is critical. Resizing kills the one thing I believe in concerning pics. This site, and PB, resize hosted images and for me thats a deal breaker. Blogger does the same but still offers an original resolution option, at least with the old interface. Thats the only reason you can actually tell what my work really looks like. I beliieve in honest representation, thats all.

I've stopped using other sites because of restrictions that allow them more control over my "usage" so they can invade MY computer to suggest "interest based" ads. Getting close to only using this to find parts and supplies on-line.

Interest in your postings haven't waned, I'm just overwhelmed with everything I have going on here, with getting my "shop" usable for winter work, among a few other projects.
The projects you get involved with are always rather extreme and interesting to watch, and I do log on most evenings.
Reckon my Windows10 box had the network card zapped by lightning at the perfect time. We don't make the web rules because it ain't ours but if you are like me, no ads makes the internet useful. I use ABP and simply don't see ads. Since I enter no sensitive information, there is nothing to be stolen from my devices.

I know you stay busy doing lots of things and said you are holding some project pic backlog. I make twice-daily posts not because theres that much information but nowadays because a reliable flow of fresh content, regardless of size, has value in the same way a comic strip in the newspaper used to. The fact its my job allows this. As you mentioned, it can be a nutritious part of a complete breakfast. So to speak, borrowing a phrase from sweet cereal commercials. And like a sponsor but sans financial agenda, I appreciate those who include my "funny" in their routine. They find that I do stay tuned to their spotty infrequent shows in return.

Viewers here have been able to count on seeing The Day's Work in bold, marked unread, twice daily. That is unique, and likeable or not, well... you are all reading it now. So there. Just heads up because I am the type to be content standing on bare floor should the proverbial rug be snatched from under me. You'll keep seeing what I see, as long as theres a way to post at a satisfactory detail level within an acceptable time and hassle range.

The whole stress disorder which has historically threatened my posting legacy has mostly faded away. Dragging you all reluctantly through agonies is another fairly unique factor here, which sets this sometimes gritty but dependable presentation apart from the rest.

So enjoy this.

The current task has for me been, as Dad might put it, like a circus elephant standing on one ear. A far-out analogy there, which effectively conveys how in recent months / years you have seen me operating along the fence line around my field of ability with a sometimes alarming success rate considering the feasibility of the intended act. If the elephant stands on one leg, applause. If it tries like hell every day to stand on one ear and some days comes close... that is arguably more interesting.

Other people's threads are confined to showy progress events and long strings of sappy unsolicited praise of strangers. Show one thing, five or ten people say how baddass it is and verbally bow at the user's feet. It was that way for me too in the early forum years. Now its extra labor for when I get home and Pugsy pays one mash of thanks button per effort. I obviously accept that arrangement, bargain or not.
