Serious? Brrr. ![]() ![]() I remember (yeah, right) in '85 selling my 72 SS and getting a car to serve me through school in Dallas... the gold 67 Imp with 64,000 on her. A/C still worked! More than I can say about the current junks. ![]() Theres no substitute for low mileage. Its the cream puff factor that varies. ![]() |

![]() Same deal with Blue Bu, or it wouldn't be worth rebuilding either. Less than 70k and clean CA car when I got it a few years ago. Enjoy the sun. It's sunny here too, but only 35 degrees and gonna go down hill fast after this weekend. Forecast is for double digits BELOW the zero next week... ![]() |

I did about an hour of pretty-up and cleanup, shuffled stuff around and am attempting to relocate my groove. |

Well, you know the drill... If I am working on it, it is something that no other shop would touch. I am just glad it fit. Now to go find out if I am done with it. Why would most of the aftermarket parts you buy have a sticker that says Toyota? |

RDOT is a major stamper of repro sheetmetal in Taiwan. Most of the aftermarket panels I have bought have that sticker on it. At 19 years old, yeah, that model has had repro panels available for many years. I'm surprised it was repaired at that age. I'll try to get a pic of a factory sticker at Centerline. They just repaired a rear end collision SUV last week. |

It looks rusty underneath, I have no idea how much its worth but its a 2000. It was discouraging to find out other peoples' 20 year old cars still get quarter panels replaced. And to realize I am so cheap as to make the job possible. ![]() |

By the way, the old boy with the green Dodge was in today. He is kinda excited about getting the black one, and the youngers were helping him along with their enthusiasm. They were talking about how those silver stripes might look on it. I... feel a relax coming on. That week just hasn't been one of my favorites but I am past the dread so woohoo. ![]() |

Just a reminder since it is currently relevant: Bonding works on old cars, too. ![]() ![]() If there are any questions about where specifically its cool to glue, just ask. Anytime.
