idrivejunk Acapulco Blue, Mitch. Off a Chrysler. All aluminum, no mica in the formula. So its not a girl color.

Happy bodyman today.

I have shuffled the pieces to infinity and beyond, and glory be... there was a sweet spot. Looks nice to me and I am thrilled a bit to be past the last door gap. The old hinge locations were fighting me, being all bent up, and bottom front corner of door is kinda flapping in the breeze. But when I started tweaking the hinge adjustments, things started fitting up nice. Balancing door adjustment with cowl patch position was the morning's major thing.

So now these door gap pics should start to fade out somewhat.

Blue metallics are hard to go wrong with, I can't think of an ugly one.

Remember the last blue Mustang? It was purty. Dark blue 68 ex-six coupe with stick. Onlyest thing was they built a 260 for it.

idrivejunk I am getting close with the hinge post. If accuracy and fit is the goal, I shoot for accuracy first then fit, as my logic dictates. On this, fit gets the upper hand and I'd call the accuracy fair. I minimized inaccuracies and went backwards in fit for a sec, had to sort of meet in the middle. The sheetmetal shell of the cab has nice comparative dimensions, one side vs the other.

I am just shuffling post, jamb, and rocker independently and closing in on final position. This stab is the best yet and I am ready to mess with the hinges' depth adjusting screws-

Ford this, Ford that, ford the other...

idrivejunk Started out with the tape measure and level today. Got in about five minutes and was pointed at something else. Changed a fender on an aluminum 2020 truck. Had to cut the durn thing off after all the bolts are out. And they have the cardboard carpet wheelwells now. Nifty. I didn't get hamburger hands too bad.

Thanks. Nope. Need to get mount pieces going.

Also, on the list, is fattening of the rear fenders on it?
We need about 2-3" of tub inside the bed. Our intent is to use old fenders to make tubs. A common practice, I am told. No rodding of edges has been discussed but exhaust outlets on fenders behind wheel has, as well as custom tail lights. And roll pan. Theres a lot of stuff not on the list, I even forgot dash. Felt like an insurance adjuster writing a total, kinda.

I had the right hinge post out to weld up. Tacked back now, at the previously told quarter inch higher location. So hinge tubes are straight across bottom of dash. Then I'll assure that I have matching side to side vertical distances from rocker top to top hinge tube and should be in business-

idrivejunk Mission accomplished. Moving on-

That'll do. Also this morning, spent some time listing the remaining metal work. Scary, theres a long way to go and a short time to get there.

Your pic sizes have been governer-ed like a pay to ride go kart, by the hosts.

Yep, slice and dice. The future is here.

I downloaded a pic I had posted and checked the properties of both. Although on the site is looks quite clear. Posting here is shrinking again, correct?

Thank you. Click the details tab and compare dimensions. Yes. Looks like your camera is set on max res.

I would venture that by those means, any site hosted image will suffer the same. Please correct me if you find that an image remains unaltered after upload.

idrivejunk Theres a couple more things, suspicions, that I can share before it's back to the shack.

I suspect that in time, reattempts by me or revisions by blogger will lead me to that button I can't seem to find. Thats what she said.

I also suspect that in time, free Blogger as well will board the column width equalization train. When I started using it, the page ( Old car body repair pic dump No words, no ads. ) would show all images at full res. That put their menu in the middle of the first pic.

Nowadays, seemingly at random, pics change size both on the site and the edit page. I write that off to memory and browser flukes and the background ad battle I choose to have going. But things displayed properly now are more abbreviated. On the site and the edit page, default is now medium size. Fullsize is seen by clicking pic. Original res can be selected for each pic.

First part of a month, the site shows a list of blogs. Rest of the time, you go straight to my page. But if somewhere that month, and original res pic is present column width adjusts to suit and unless it is the top pic (and they do get jumbled chronologically on occasion) the menu isn't on top of it.

But I wouldn't put it past Google to pull the rug out from under the punch bowl and me. Thats the trend, remember Photobucket and my thousands of lost images and roached threads. That would leave me with email, pfft. To show a full image that is half the size of what my phone will do. Email may be throttled as well. Whoever didn't figure bloat would ever catch up with the internet was asleep in class.

If the "large" or "extra large" blogger image size remained and were satisfactory, I might could cope. Otherwise, my objectives would have to change. I only been posting pics here.

So ya know. Now, go home.
