Thanks Cerial - super appreciate this info and video. I actually ended up compressing the rear leaf springs which gave me the right 3" drop without having to modify anything too much or affect the ride, or ability to haul 2 dirtbikes in the back. I had to remove the springs myself and take them to a shop for the same, but it only cost me $80.

Yes I found out about c20's the same way you are. Everyone makes 1/2 ton and 1 ton stuff but your limited with the 3/4 ton stuff. Just the way it is.
On that note though. Run spring sliders.
Will give you the drop you need easily.
They also give a bit of room around the frame(as they mount to the bottom/outside) so you have more room for a fuel tank etc between the rails.
They do require maintenance. I have ran the ones from speedway (on a 96 c1500) and have nothing but good things to say about them. Mostly city street driving and I am hard on everything I drive. I did replace the Nylon blocks after 2 years (drove in the winter/mud also) at a cost of under $20 to my door. But that was preventive maintenance more then needing to do it.
My current pile is running a bit of a rake with a 7" difference. Spring sliders are in the future to not only lower that rear but to clean up and strengthen the rails.
Or you could always do a flip. A spring flip(over to under) will give you a 3-4" drop with minimal fabrication. I like this kid and he shows whats involved in a flip very well. He has a 6" drop using 2" blocks.
Or you could always build your own shackles and shackle mounts. This will generally take more of the room between the rails. As your moving the shackles higher. A good amount of fabrication here. But if your towing it is a good option.

Thanks KSO - I appreciate the advice. Evidently the 1/2 ton shackles are slightly wider so I might just machine them or use your DIY method of recycling and extending the old ones.
Seems weird to me that you cant just buy them. I looked pretty exhustively maybe theres a product opportunity there for someone, although I'm pretty sure theres not that many folks out there lowering 3/4 ton trucks...

You might ask Brothers, what is it about their part that makes it fit a half-ton only? Obviously it's for leaf springs only, by why half-ton? If the weight is the concern, compare them to the stock pretty-thin-in-places parts and see if they don't actually look stronger. If it's a matter of physical fit, can they be modified?
The two times I've lowered Chevy trucks (a little newer but both 3/4-ton and used for heavy loads at times) I just hacksawed the stock shackles in half and welded in a strip of steel, saved a hundred bucks.

2" Drop Shackle Product for 69 C20 3/4 ton - does it exist ?
So Ive been hunting around for a set of 2" or 3" drop shackles for my c20 3/4 ton with rear leaf springs. Not interested in a lowered so much, look I just wanted to flatten out the rear ride height a little.
There are plenty of 1/2 ton products that are an easy fit but I can find a set specifically for 3/4 ton trucks with rear leaf springs.
Ive tried Brothers, Summit Racing, and all of the major consumer parts brands. No dice.
Does anyone know of a lowering shackle product specifically for this 69 3/4 ton C20 truck ? Im sure it has to exist somewhere !
