jaw22w Thanks ericnova72. Seems like you always got my back. Do you have the whole automotive internet memorized? LOL. Thanks again.

ericnova72 According to M/T, the paint marks in the bead or sidewall are for production purposes only, and have nothing to do with heavy/light side or highest run-out point.

It's in their tech bulletins, click on the 3 line logo upper right side of home page to get the site list.

jaw22w These are custom aftermarket aluminum rims. No marks on them. Only the paint marks on the tires to go by. So those marks usually go to the valve stem?

matt167 green and blue, I am not familliar with. there are yellow and red dots on a lot of tires. The yellow lines up to the valve stem normally, but some OEM rims have a blue dot or a balance sticker. If the rim has a balance sticker or blue dot you line the red dot up to it.

If they only have one dot, just line it up with the valve stem

Paint Marks on MT tire Beads

I just received my 2 new Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S tires. They each have a paint mark on the bead. One is green and one is blue. Is this the heavy spot in the tire? or light spot? or just what do these paint marks signify, if anything? I had never seen this. Thanks for any input.
