I do have a good start on my belt line trim. These pieces are straightened and sanded to 3000. Still need to be buffed though.
Steve has all the window regulators in and is installing the overflow tank for the radiator. I have the seat covered except for the hard parts and am back to polishing and straightening the upper belt line stainless so he can install the vent windows and door glass. The quarter window frames are still at the chrome plater's but he has the run tracks all blasted and epoxied as well as the regulators installed.
I have a lady that comes in to stay with Barb 3 days a week for 6 hours a day. I am blessed to have her but time for toys is still pretty scarce.

Went up to Steve's and visited with Precious today....
Her garnish moldings are painted and installed.
Jer rear view mirror is in.
The radio is in though not wired yet.
And she has red wheels with a new set of '53 Olds Fiesta spinners.
It was hard to say goodnight to her, turn the lights out, leave her in that cold garage, all alone, in the dark, by herself.
Gotta get this seat done and finish the stainless........

I have the he drivers backrest finished and have started redoing the passenger side I was so unhappy with.
Steve has my wheels painted red and we changed the front tires yesterday.
Also, the stock origional radio has been converted to solid state am/fm and is ready to install.

Methinks PB is not down, but doing something a bit more nefarious. I've been using Imgur for awhile now, but just got on PB (only by logging in thru their front page) as a test. My site is also blocked and inaccessible thru the normal link. This is the message I get from the main page login:
Looks like they're intent on hitting pretty much all their users with fees...

Buying enough stuff so you get all one batch is important, I would imagine. While imagining, somewhere back in the swatch phase I got the mental picture of the brown and tan and while its not me, it does seem like a together combo. I keep wanting to ask if you'd lay some samples over the dash for a shot of all the colors together. But I keep thinking you already did for us. or I already asked
Started typing to say what about the barstool? From the basement. Doesn't it need the "scrap"? I thought you had a barstool which looked kinda like a JiffyPop pan.
You mentioned the word disasterperating and I've had a thing or two go like that this week so thank heaven for second chances, right?

Coswurth, I had a real problem picking a color. Black will not work in a convertible. White is too difficult to keep clean. Red would work if you could find exactly the right color but there is nothing worse than two reds that do not go together.
I did choose the tan to go with the dash and then the brown to contrast with the tan. I am anxious to see it all together.
The LH seat back is going much better. It is probably difficult to understand how it goes together by looking at the pictures but it will be easier to understand once it is all sewn up and assembly starts.

I'm gonna parrot the others here... looks great to me! I'll be the first to admit that I would have been a bit leery about the color choices from just hearing them, but I'll be darned if they don't work. You've made a believer out of me. That works, and works very well together.
