That's not the part I was referring to. If I remember correctly the part that has the teeth looks like a saw. Thanks for the link anyways

47 Ford Coupe Delux I don't want power windows. I need a mechanical regulator.

rip-tide If you do go power windows, be prepared to spend some time making them work correctly.

Also plan to change the felts, make a window out of Plywood 1/4''

Having a copy of the glass window in plywood, will allow you to trim and size it for the window track. Shooting for a smooth operation, very important. That then becomes a working pattern, then get the glass cut.

Do not buy pre-cut glass, have it made. Many glass companies, that do glass bathroom showers will also do auto glass.

Another thing to know, the wiring harness & switches
cost as much as the regulators. Not a cheap upgrade

39 master Not easy working inside the door but they got it in so it will come out. Now you have a decision to make, buy a new regulator or go to power windows.

47 Ford Coupe Delux I took a closer look and noticed that the regulator gear has some broken teeth. That would explain why the window doesn't go all the way up.

FASTFORD when you get the window out, any decent glass shop can copy it.

I`m not familiar with the workings of a 47 window & door assembly so I cant help with that.....

Problems with rolling up passenger window on my 47 Ford

A while ago I started having issues rolling up the passenger window. The hand crank would seem to be skipping a tooth when rolling up the window and it wouldn't close all the way up. Today as I was trying to close it I noticed that the front edge of the window got chewed up and cracked. When I removed the door panel to take a look I couldn't really see much or even gain access to the window mechanism. How do even access that?

Also, what are my options for replacing the cracked window? (the roof of my car is shopped a few inches)

Thanks for your suggestions
