Excellenceautosoluti Good Ole 8115. I started using that stuff back in the 90's when it first came out. I cant even count how many 1/4 panels, roofs, bedsides, etc.. I have glued on in my life, and never ever had one problem or comeback. I did see another guy one time... You are always supposed to weld the front, back, and floor on bedsides, but he glued the whole thing. It was a ranchers truck in Texas, and came back a couple of years later with the bedside flapping in the breeze!

That stuff is SUPER STRONG! I remember a demonstration when it first came out. They glued a roof skin on a Taurus, then ran an eye bolt with a huge washer through the middle of the roof and lifted it with a crane. Product held fine.
I have tried the others also but nothing was as easy, or set up hard every time like the 8115. Its not cheap, and you will need to borrow the special gun, but well worth it. Clean up the squeezeout with a 07470 wheel and prime it. Done.

idrivejunk 3M #8115 Panel Bonding Adhesive is the collision industry standard. It is to be used in conjunction with welding and requires clean, solid, un-rusted metal to attach to. It is a collision repair product not to be confused with anything original equipment.

Fifteen years is asking a lot, even from a welded and internally well protected from corrosion panel replacement, if rust was present in the area at the time of the repair. How long the repair lasts depends on how well it is protected, inside and out.

Body panel adhesive.

I want to glue in some replacement rockers on my 95 Chevy pick up. They are beginning to rot away and so Iím looking at some online that are designed to take the place and be glued on after the old ones are cut out. I need this thing to last another 15 years and before it goes the Chevy Heaven. Whatís a good glue for attaching body panels like the OEMs do on modern stuff? My local parts house has something in a twin tube epoxy with the gun for $50. Is there something better out there?
