MARTINSR My got my Sun all cut up and tacked into place in my mailbox stand. Damn this kicked my butt having to cut all the angles with a hack saw, yeow. But it's ready to weld up now that I got the wife's ok.

We had 25ft wide roll up doors on our mechanic shop at the mine I worked at in Wyoming. High winds created a problem with occasionally blowing the doors out of the tracks. Our belly dump haul trucks (tractor trailer goosenecks) were 23 ft wide and 150ft long. I enjoyed the awe on the other mechanics faces when I would back one of those trucks in the shop without having to pull ahead to straighten out. Convex mirror only on the offside and no one giving hand signals either. Living on memories here in the handicapped lane.

Rip VW Cosworth, Wow your making me jealous again..That shop is looking Good!! Your making progress..

I just had a friend over today and he hung the 4 8ft LED Fixtures today. I had him straighten the routing of the welder Line. That sucker is big and unyielding. The drop to the lift is almost done. Lots a plugs wiring on the panel and I finally found an Electrician to put my sub feed to the shop in. I went with a straight 100 amp service and the cost is close to the cost of a Space Shuttle (Used). It has to be done so bite the bullet and said yes. The Sparky ordered up and is waiting on the wire to come in, It has to be Copper $$$. Code here on the coast will not allow any Aluminum wire at all. Sparky says 1 day to do it. I am getting just a little bit excited that this whole move, Building construction thing! will soon be a final "Done Deal" and I can get back to having FUN instead of having to work at this construction stuff.

I am sure you are feeling about the same about now. It will be worth the wait. One certain thing having my tools back feels good, If I need a 3/8ths socket I know exactally where my tools are I don't have to makeshift tool applications any more.

Good Luck Coz, your on the Wrap it up laps and will soon be working away on projects.

Do you mean using 75/25 gas plus also flux core wire?

I never heard of that. But one time the shop gopher showed up with flux core. Had I not checked the label I guess I"d have given your friend's technique a whirl.

Guess there's still 2 drive-ins theaters around here:
15 miles east: Sundance Drivein $9.50 adults $3 kids over 5
15 miles west:Field of Dreams Drivein:
4+ people/vehicle: $25*
3 people/vehicle: $22*
2 people/vehicle: $16*
2 senior citizens/vehicle: $12*
1 person/vehicle: $8*

I think last time in drivein down by Lima in 1999 was 2 'drivein quality' movies:
South Park Movie - cartoon - USA vs Canada go to war...
Blair Witch Project - Nothing ever happens, bunch of screaming around - I fell asleep...

Noticed a Sonic $2.99 meal, might try one... not really handily located...
.
Yea that was it. My slingshot and BBs say China.

Entertainment sounds more reasonable in your neck of the woods. The here prices are what happens after an area makes it onto some top places to live lists.

Movies and TV are bygones for me. I just watch westerns and documentaries on youtube. Have not seen a commercial in years unless I was visting someone.

Movie prices, I don't know about. I just thought it was ten bucks to see a movie now, yep. Unless its during the afternoon. Last time I went to the drive in it was showing one of the faces of death series as a midnight movie. That was no good.

FYI, I had a super sonic cheeseburger last night. I think they are pretty good.

Sonics recently arrived here... some may even have waitresses on roller skates as was popular in some places, but not here back then... I haven't eaten at one yet... We might have one drive-in movie theater left... WOW! That drive-in you linked to charges $10/person! I was thinking more like $10/car load...

To me, Rogers RKansas means Daisy BB guns... but, unfortunately, made in China now... my ex-wife was from Waldron RKansas, which is also my last name by coincidence, but my ancestors are from Waldron & Weston Michigan...

Dazed and Confused is the most accurate representation of my time as far as movies go. Daisy has a large busy plant-looking facility I pass just about daily, with an HQ- looking facility across the road. Full parking lot. If they aren't manufacturing there, you couldn't prove it by me. I just spent the better part of an hour researching the China thing and found one small mention on a forum of it. So I checked mine. No China on it anywhere. USA. I cannot confirm or deny. They probably shoot if you walk in and ask.

Last time I went to the drive in it was showing one of the faces of death series as a midnight movie. That was no good. Screaming guy trapped under a car with severed leg just was not entertaining so we split. I cannot recall the last time I went to a movie theater.

FYI, I had a super sonic cheeseburger last night. I think they are pretty good.

I kinda use the word sonic in place of "drive-in" because to me that means movie.

"Thrill Hill"? Did you mean Cherry Hill Park? (warning-song may be banned in your area):

Mary Hill, thats pretty catchy! I was a good decade later to hit the scene but my area was way behind the times. It took a year for newly released records to show up in the store.

But I remember a few mom-n-pop drive ins and A&W was more up my alley because root beer was my favorite. Pretty much take a sno-cone stand, add some awnings and sidewalk and a grille then put up one of those rectangle signs on wheels with the perimeter of light bulbs with a third of them burnt out and some letters missing. We still have one of those around and it stays busy:

Try more than one Sonic. To find friends hanging out. Thats what its called until police show up, then its loitering and you cruise on. City kids.
