if i do decide i want it after i look at it i would be getting such a good deal that it wouldent be right to sell it out from under my dads bestfriend.
he could just sell it himself but he is offering it to use cause he know's we will work on it and he can see it come together.
he himself was going to make it into a hot rod too so he wont be angy about that and he told my dad that your going to need a welder if i rember right he said it was all in pieces probley the way he got it.

Hope this doesn't sound like we're piling on Cope, but if the car is in decent shape and as Stovebolter says, all the parts are there, restoration seems to be the most appropriate avenue. Or as suggested, sell it to a collector and use the proceeds to buy some good hot rod material...either something not so rare or something that has already been partially rodded.
While I'm a die hard hot rodder, I believe in the sanctity of rare vintage tin and preserving it for future generations to see and admire. Obviously this car is yours to do with as you please...but give the restoration route some consideration before cutting into it.

If its all there....and in fair shape. I would say definitely restore, or sell it to someone that will, and buy something pre 40 thats missing its drivetrain. That's why I bought mine in the shape it was in.....without the drive train among other things. That way I wouldnt feel bad later for cutting it up. Just my thoughts though.

A very rare car such as that should be restored to its original splendor not rodded. Go get a A model Ford and rod it.

|Notorious||I'd heard of them but knew little beyond that. Extremely attractive as well as modern styling for it's time. I think we'll all want to be kept posted as your story progresses. Congrats on you and your dad's impending good fortune.|
