No Fenders - Damage to Paint?

Question to you guys running no fenders: Do you get damage to your paint from stones?
I have flat black on the car and I am going to repaint it in a red pearl. I may consider
fenders if I hear lots of problems running no fenders. thanks

Every time you turn the wheels there is the potential of picking up a pebble in the tread and throwing it against the side of the car or firewall. It's a fact of life with a fenderless car. Is it a serious problem? That only depends on you and whether or not road rash is a problem plus the amount depends on the roads you drive. Myself - I prefer to run fenders so little road rash on my $$$$ paint

I have run fenderless cars, and yes you can get chips. However, I get chips in my front fenders too, so it happens both ways.

If you like the look of no fenders and want small 'bike style' fenders, depending on your wheel size, continental kit rings work. Need to trim them up and add brackets. Spare tire rings from the older cars work great too - '34 Ford has a nice center rib.

You have to be careful with tread pattern on front tires. Some designs are notorious "rock pickers" . I use a front tire with wide spaces between the tread grooves. Keeps the small stones out. I live on a dirt road so I'm used to the stone problem.

I Have 12,000 on my 33 without fenders. No problems here. Never been on trailer and never will be.
