Nova exhaust

I have 72 nova rs. It was originally 350, 2 barrel three speed in floor. I thought i would increase performance some. I bought New trem something 5 speed trans new 12 bolt with 373 gear, auto meter carbon fiber dash and gauges etc nothing unusual. The motor a little different. I have raced nascar late model stock for many years and over the last 2-3 seasons our rules package has changed. What used to be 358 with stock bow tie heads and 2 barrel carb has given way to spec and crate motors. Well I had one of these 2 barrel motors in garage collecting dust. Why not use it. With these motors suffering from lack of both air and fuel flow weight is really only way to make power. Crank custom ground, ultra lightweight rods etc. The result is motor that can turn 8k all night. I took it to guy who built it said itís going in street car make it run. Added 4 barrel, alum heads changed cam. Dyno said 498 hp at 7800 and still climbing. Fun car and revs rapidly and high but I donít like the sound of the flowmaster system. I like the sound Iíve heard on YouTube of corsa on some newer cars but no application for 72 nova. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated thanks

Use almost anybody's 2.5" or 3" pipe kit, but buy your own Borla or MagnaFlow mufflers.
Jones Exhaust mufflers and Hooker (the AeroChamber muffler) are a couple others.

I agree, FlowChoker sucks, in both the sound and power departments.
