paint a bit thick

I had the corner of the lid on my gallon of acrylic urethane pop up. it seems that the paint thickened up just a bit. Should i add a bit of reducer to the gallon or wait till I mix it for spraying. I dont think it thickened much at all but i normally mix it at 4 1 1 as per the directions. not sure if I should restore the original viscocty in the can or just do it at mixing....Steve

Wait till you spray, reduce as needed, it shouldn't be much
