Paint cost

This could be a tricky question. I need a paint estimate for my 1988 Ford bronco II. It's a small suv that's bigger than a suzuki samurai, bigger than a geo tracker. It's close to the size of a jeep cherokee. I need the old paint stripped, and some dents removed. I am going to take care of a few minor rust spots and replace the tailgate. I just want to use the original light blue color with new clearcoat. What kind of price am I looking at?

Well, I don't know how to operate painting equipment more advanced than a spray can. I don't have an air compressor or a paint gun. I was asking if anyone could give me an estimate as if a shop were to do it.

Best thing to do is call around and ask. I bet for the cost of renting an air compressor and a cheap gun you could do it for less than a shop. When I get to the painting stage on my truck I believe that is the route I'm going to take. I'm gonna get some old fenders or something to practice spraying on.

I just don't want to mess anything up. I'll call around and check the prices.

just for outside will be $1500-$2000 at cheap body shop, with paint/materials and few hrs of body work

I have an 88 bronco 2 also, I just put 400 into the body and stuff. You want it $20, j/k I cant even get that much out of it up here. I put about $800 into it to fix it up for my daily driver and about a week after I got my license the motor started knocking, Junk ford 2.9 litre

Another bronco II owner!

What year is yours? Mine is an 88'. Nothing wrong with it but the parking brake.
