Poor boy's billet saw
I in no way recommend trying this but it worked so well I had to show it. I have a used Delta Model 9 horizontal band saw I bought but it needs a ton of work. I built a system that pulled my old vertical band saw through the billet but that took forever to cut through the 7" of aluminum. Today I went and bought a 12" Freud non ferrous saw blade and installed it on my chop saw. I added a strap to clamp the saw to the billet. The saw had to be rotated all the way around once, cutting from each side. Each plunge easily took less than a minute. The blade cuts aluminum like butter. It never even got warm, but I gave it a little lube anyway.
