Post previews are too quick

I scan most threads by just using the preview feature, but I can't get though one or two scentences and the preview goes away (and I didn't move my mouse) is that function of my computer or the system?

I just jiggle the mouse pointer over the thread heading and it will stay there until you stop moving it.
