Radiator Shell Emblem

I have purchased a reproduction 1930 Model-A stainless radiator shell. To go on it, I bought a reproduction Ford oval emblem (picture). On the back is a circular device that apparently fastens it to the shell. Anybody have this set up ? Is there a piece (that I don't have) that locks it to the shell from behind ? Does the circular object come off in some mysterious way ? I have messaged the seller but have not received an answer.

While waiting for a response from my supplier, I did some snooping on the net. I found a radiator emblem at Snyder's Antique Auto Parts. It has a threaded stud on the back. I ordered it and will use it on my rod.
Pictures attached.

It's a press fit into the hole in the shell.

Thanks for your input. It may be a press-fit in an original shell. In my (KNS) reproduction it fits about as tight as a guppy in a swimming pool. I bought a Snyder's threaded emblem and (with a little file work) it fits as snug as a proverbial bug in a rug.
Thanks again,
