*Securing The Hood On My 37*

I'm using nuts and bolts to secure my hood top on my 37 pickup. I'm nut using the side panels. When I get to a cruise-in I prop one side of my hood up and have dropped a few of the nuts so I'm looking for some other ideas. I've seen the leather straps but want some other ideas. Show me a pic of what your using.

Here you go......

Mini-Gator-Jaw Latches

pair of these under the hood with a release wire under the hood to open.. No one will ever see them until the hood is open..

I'm running just the hood top on my 37 Dodge PU. For a while I considered using a Dzus type fastener like these.

My 37 is more of a 60s themed build so I ended up opting for 4 of the Jeep style latches (painted black and installed one on each corner of the hood.

Here you go.

hood latch 2 by M Patterson, on Flickr

When the hoods open they just hang down out of the way and for some reason nobody even seems to notice them

If I were to use these on a nice looking truck like yours Id either bead blast them and then paint them body color or leave them chrome .
