"Significant orange peel"
I got an email from one of my best customers, concerning his car.
I wish I'd check my emails more frequently. It was sent on the 25th, and I didn't see it until yesterday.

Monday I took my Mercedes to Ceramic Pro up near the airport to get the new hi-tech car paint protection applied. This morning he called to tell me, that durning the process, the application specialist observed a significant amount of Orange Peel and the clear coat is coming off with the painterís tape masking.
I did a couple of spot repairs for him a couple months ago. Right rear door, rear bumper, and hood, along with a full buff and wax on the rest of the car. I do everything I can to ensure a seamless repair, including matching the existing orange peel. It's a 2015 mercedes S500.
I sent him a message back that I need to make it right, if it's due to something that I did, but it's been a week, and probably a moot point by now.
Thing is, I've found that all newer cars have a "significant amount of orange peel". Whether it be a $25k Chevy, or $180k Mercedes.
Just waiting on his reply.

I was a body tech at a Benz dealer for a number of years. The painters always had issues generating enough peel to match factory. They used Spies. Oem Benz paint is just really not that nice looking. IMHO, the HS low voc clears or Euro clears just don't lay down like the MS clears would.
