Sunvisor

Got the new sun visor on for it's initial fit. Wanted to drive some distance at highway speeds to see if there was flutter or any other problems so went to the car show at the Inn of the Mountain Gods casino and resort run by the Mescalero Apache. Nice show, nice venue but frost early in the morning (5000 feet). Forgot camera! At cruise speeds of 65-70 the visor was rock solid and really didn't feel and handling problems other that the usual canyon crosswinds. Need to modify the dogbone mounts just a bit and the center supports have to be longer. Will paint the Left and right panels to match the car and leave the center black. Not sure about the underside. Should I leave it flat black or paint it white? Because it's under side I don't have a glare problem. Once again car ran flawless.

Been a while since I have seen your car. It is following the style you first described to me. Good Job. On the paint, white with black center or white with chrome center (match the headlight visors). The underneath can be either, I would go with flat. I have had a visor on a 50 for over 20 years now and never has the underneath caused any vision problems. It is white. Another subject: I am changing motors and would like to pick your brain since I am going down a road you have been down. I will email. Good Job with your Rod.

Thanks for the compliments and info. I'll most likely leave the under side flat black, not too sure about the center section. Want to leave it black for some contrast but it's a bit wide. PM sent.
