Are your rear shoes adjusted properly? I assume you have a proportioning valve in the system, otherwise your rears would be locking up early. Isa this a power brake system?

If this is a large bore GM master cylinder, they have a different depth rod 'seat' in the rear, do you have the correct length for your MC?
