T-400 issue

Everything shifted fine, all gears worked. The shift modulator ended up getting cracked going inside the trans. This was 3 years ago when it happened. Its my demolition derby trans. And I couldn't get the modulator in time for the derby. So I just jb welded the crack. Jumped into the car and it had no reverse. Can the shift modulator cause it to not have reverse? I don't remember if it had all forward gears or not. I really don't want to put it back into my derby car to test it to just pull it back out to swap everything from my bop th400 with a bad case into the th400 without reverse.

The vacuum modulator will not cause a "no reverse" situation if the other gears function correctly.
