You could just featheredge the existing finish back a couple inches then prime your neat little repair area and the rest of the panel can wait until its time to knock all the blue off and take care of all the chips.

To feather it back start with 80 a couple inches beyond the repair, then a little further with 180, going over the 80 grit scratches also then some 320 a few inches past all that. Looks good.

there looks to be some type of high build primer from the factory thats pretty thick. Where I am doing the work I took down to metal. Do I prime with epoxy to cover bare metal. Do my body filler, then high build primer and block. Then a final coat of epoxy primer over that? I am looking at doing all the body work and leaving it paint ready for a shop to paint.
