Temp sender

I'm looking for a temperature sending unit that has the same ohm ratings as the ACDelco G1852 but with a 3/8" NPT thread. I can't seem to find anything

Most if not all temp senders use a 1/4 pipe thread for some reason GM taps this 3/8ths . Most gauge kits include adapters. If not a decent hardware store should have a 3/8ths pipe to 1/4 pipe bushing, problem solved. Same thing if the head is a half inch pipe thread, just bush it to connect the two parts.

Do you know of any sending units that meet the requirements? I suppose a quick Google search on my part would answer that

What is it you're trying to do? Do you have an original OEM gauge that you want to use, but don't have the original sender for it?

I have an oem gauge that I'm trying to use with aftermarket heads

I believe the hole for that sending unit is on the side of the block(drivers side usually) though not in the head. A good alternative is using the intake port next to the thermostat. You may need to tap the intake. But it works if you don't want to have the sensor down near exhaust.

There is no port in the block, its in the head. And yeah I'll be using the port next to the thermostat because it's the same thread size as the original sending unit that is currently in the thermostat housing
