Think maybe i did this wrong!

Here are 3 pictures of my car trailer ...raise and lower tongue...crank.It was a press fit -and the handle broke off after hauling my sons full kustom 50 Merc he had just bought for $ LOW dollars,, ....anyway! please look at this crank i peened over the bottom end[just the crank pin] then rewelded it back on..

I can't say i did it wrong but...........but didn't pay attention reattaching the crank handle,If you can't help//its ok..............jus means i gotta drive 25 miles to ask the place that sold it to me and ask them.Is it wrong or is it correct thanks much bob s

handle

i don't see an issue.. it's been repaired on both ends and as long as it holds up your fine.. the handle can be just replaced if u have a concern. only go to the trl joint to get a new one..

IT look like you're gonna need to take the drum off. At least the support.

Maybe cut the cable about 2" from the drum and push it through the drum (between the support and drum) AFTER loosening the set screw.
