The Millermatic 135 from NationsRent has a gas solenoid valve, but the rental does not include a tank of shielding gas. It is a MIG welder (or MIG capable), but can be used without gas. I'm not quite sure of the right terminology for a MIG welder when you don't use any gas - just a flux core wire feed welder?
The main point I was trying to make is that you can easily rent a 110v welder, which might be a better choice for infrequent use.
The Miller CP-302 is listed as 3 phase welder. Some folks rent these welders for commercial applications, and I assume they must have 3 phase power. NationsRent is not limited to items for the residential market.
