Top Chop

I know this has probably been asked before, but what is the best way I can chop the top of my three window chevy truck? I'd like to go three inches, nothin too radical, just enough to bring the roof down a little. The cab needs some cab corners, so should I do the repairs first, then chop, or does it matter what order i do the work in? The cab is off the frame, so it's a little easier to work on now. Thanks
