Trunk lid latch

Removing the original handle/latch on my '48 Ford Coupe deck lid. Sinking in the license plate (partly because there was a large damaged area). What are some of you using for latches? I'm thinking a bear claw or maybe a VW hood latch. Ideas? Thanks--

I used a mid-90's Acura trunk latch on my '37 humpback. They have an integrated solenoid, as well as cable activation. Because of the trunk lid weight, I also had to use a spring "popper", shown in the pic.

I got my years wrong! When my memory kicked in today, here's what I actually used:

Stock, it's bulky, but you can re-configure it to fit. Additionally, it has an integrated trunk light switch.
