Ventura hoods interchangeable?

Hi all, I have a '71 Ventura (resto-modding it) and need a new hood. I'm in the UK and have been looking for months making calls & online to US breakers yards for one specific to 71/72 with no luck. Does anyone know if the hood on the later models will fit the early 70's models, or are they different dimensions?

I can find plenty of '74 onward hoods, but don't want to take a punt and ship it over and it cost me $$ if it's wrong. Thanks.

1971-1974 Hoods I know are the same, I rebuilt a '74 GTO(the '74 was on the X-body/Ventura platform for that last year it was made prior to the 2004 re-introduced models) and I used a '73 Ventura for a parts car, other than the '74 GTO hood having a the Shaker scoop hole, the hoods were identical.
There were three different front header panels used on '71-74 Ventura models, depending on year and if standard or Sport package: the two oval grill steel header, the two oval grill fiberglass matrix header, and the 4 slot grill metal header, and all fit the same hood.

The body was redesigned in 1975, but it looks like the hood was left the same but I have no proof in those '75-79 years.
I do know the piece between the hood and the windshield is the same, so the hood width and the shape of the rear edge didn't change...but I don't know if the front got longer or a different shape to match the front header panel redesign.

I have a sneaking suspicion it is the exact same hood, but have no proof at this point.
I have seen a '68-72 Nova hood bolted to a '76 Nova front clip, it fits everywhere but doesn't match at the grill or headlight surrounds...but it does fit the '75-79 hinges and latch perfect, fits the Fenders profile and rear panel leading to the windshield.

I do also know the 68-74 Nova/71-74 Ventura/73-74 Apollo/73-74 Omega and the 75-79 cars the doors also interchange....the only difference is the 73-79 have a single piece of glass, no wing vent like the '72- earlier....and a different design to the inside door interior panel and arm rest....but the doors themselves completely interchange.
I used a ''74 door shell to replace a wrecked door on my '72 Nova, and I still have the 1-piece glass stored away up in the barn rafters

You could also try the Hollander Exchange Manuals look-up, it is the bible salvage yards here is the USA use to find part interchange for parting out vehicles.
I did an online Hollander look-up, it shows the '75-up hood as a direct interchange with the '74, so it appears the '75-79 Hood is the same.

That's great, thanks for the info, very helpful. I reckon the later hoods may be the same as you mention. Think I've found a suitable one from one of the links you gave me...fingers crossed..
