Well Dang it

After a year or so, (I forget) since Ol Blue was resurrected from the Tree incident. I noticed a spot on the right front door. Next to the door handle.
Has blistered up, and cracked open. I don't know why, or what went wrong there, but I'll be finding out in the next week or so.
I haven't flaked it off yet, probably should so it can breathe, but as far as I can remember, there shouldn't be any bare metal under it.

Does it look like a finger print? An oily (eating a pizza) thumb print that got overlooked when prepping? You see a lot of weird stuff over the years it would be interesting to know what caused it or what you find under there.

Actually it appears to have started with something poking it from the inside. Making a tiny knot, cracking the paint in a star pattern. I'll flake it off this weekend and find out.

Well based upon the posting dates of the pics from the tree episode, it's been near two years.

Anyway there appears to be some rust starting, so it's popped off to the metal. And upon closer examination, (without exploratory surgery) It appears to be in a larger area than I first thought. And cracking is reminiscent of stress cracking in fiberglass.
Here's a couple pics, first is below, and in front of door handle, second is kinda obvious where it is, just below lock cylinder. Yet there are more in the area that don't show up on camera.
