This morning my wife and I went out for breakfast at an amazing little place in a part of town that was a little town 75 years ago and is full of antique stores and stuff like that. We ate at a legendary place in town that was once a bar that my sister got arrested in for pulling a gun on her husband with another woman, back in the seventies...ahhhh the memories. Got a french toast made with panettone OH-MY-GOD was that delicious!

We then walked thought the antique stores looking for a little thing we wanted for the kitchen.

When I got home I checked the headlights on the Rambler, they were perfect as I had aligned them before but I thought I would check being I had the "Hoppy" out. I then did my yearly brake adjustment and checked the fluid, all is good.

Brian "Serendipity" has just struck!
Seconds before opening up your post I had just closed a article I had researched about Producers Milk (Fresno, CA.). After pouring the remainder from the carton into my coffee I became aware that "Hoppy" was no longer on the label telling us kids the Producers's was "His Favorite".
Two "Hoppy" references in less than a minute.
Do you see Rod Serling standing around anywhere

I got my replacement head gasket and head bolts in from Summit, so I installed the head last night. I got the valve lash set, so now it's on to cleaning valve covers, and getting all of the incidentals together. I also looked at my Chevelle, trying to come up with a plan to fix the small rust pits and holes in the roof. I really don't like vinyl tops...

She could put an eye out with those things! Man it must be cool to have a Hoppy setup. Too bad you can't go around "fixing" all the 10,000 suns LED interrogation lamps they put on everything now.

You know they have a very expensive (Many $thousands) aimer for those lights. Hell, we just did a 2016 Honda Odyssey that we had to bring to the dealer to have the head light aimed or there was a warning on the dash!

But yeah, they have an expensive tool, of course 99.9999999% of shops across American simply shine them on the wall.....if they do anything at all.

Today I got my "new" stereo in the Rambler. My old one bit the dust back a few weeks ago, CD stopped working. The FM didn't work from the beginning. (WTH?)

The other day the CD failed and I was out about town and ran into my boss and mentioned it and he opens his car door and hands me this stereo saying he got it for his car but he decided on a different one and said I could have it! WHOO HOOO.

It works like a charm and will get good use on my daily drive to work and home. It's got USB and mini jack hook up for my iPod too, cool.

I also washed Marge as she has been neglected pretty bad. I Rainxed the windows to hopefully hold off the icing of the windows, looking forward to seeing how that works out tomorrow morning.

That deck is the only thing modern in that car, that, the radials, the third brake light and the headlamp buzzer, that's it.

Believe me, I could see having an 8 track in my Gran Sport, that would be fun. I have a couple of them, but just a couple.

You can often find stacks of 8-track cartridges at flea markets & swap meets (just in case you want to put a unit in your Buick)

Got a start on making a patch for some rust in the cowl of the truck. I cut it out, made a few patterns, cut a piece to start it.

I then came up with the idea to make a nice mould to hammer it out on from some 12 gauge sheet I have. I figured I might as well do this being I have the other side to do too! I'll make that piece big enough to do the whole thing and that way I'll have it for the other side.
