David, would you mind measuring the diameter as well as the distance from the mounting surface to the back of the blades?

Thanks,
John

I've never heard of a short deck 292 ?? I thought they were all tall, and that's what gave them 292 c i from a 250 crank and piston. Your side cover looks like a tall deck to me ?

finally got my Porta table and miter set up. The blade was too crooked so I shimmed the rollers and now the miter is somewhat useable and parallel with the miter slots.

manual pulse AC 6160 .125 thick. more practice to blend in the reburns and edges. Smaller tacks will help.

The 292 cu in (4.8 L) engine was used in Chevrolet and GMC trucks as well as some full-sized Chevrolet cars beginning in the early 1960s; the block deck is taller, along with a relocated passenger-side engine mount. Flywheel bolt pattern is the same as the six and V8 - with 1/2" bolts for the flywheel if produced after the 1966 model year. Production of the engine was shifted to Mexico in 1980, and later variants of this engine were marketed as the "L25". The 292 retained the separate intake (with a Rochester Monojet carburetor) and exhaust manifolds as used with the short deck motors (194-250). It was GM's last pushrod straight-six engine used from 1977 to 1988 in Chevrolet trucks, including UPS truck chassis. Outputs in 1988 (only): 165 hp at 3,800 rpm and 280 lb. ft. at 1,600 rpm.

Eventually the L25 was replaced by the 4.3 L 90-degree V6

also motor mount on passenger side is moved forward,,dribers side remains in stock location

yhe 250 ,230,235 have mounts straight across from each other.they will bolt to a8 mounts,,the 292 you have to relocate the passengers mount,,which I know you already know that since you have a Nice one..

they make tons of power,,check out Cotton Perrys "Pocket Rocket " on the internet
