Made drain holes and sandblasted the knooks and crannies of my front end panels today. Also blasted all the welds. Hope to prime them tomorrow.

Truck looks like a million bucks. Every man ought to have a truck and boat.

WOW, is that crap a squirrel or mouse put in there or all rust...

That GTO is beautiful. It is the same color my '67 Camaro originally was. I am going to start the restoration of that this winter and someday it will be gold again too.

Until then, I got the Chevelle body back Sunday with a lot of preliminary work and primer done. He finish painted the firewall, since that would be impossible to do once it was on the chassis. John and I shrink wrapped the easy to do parts of the frame before we dropped the body on and I shrink wrapped the gas tank before install. Doing what I can to protect the already painted/coated parts. Then I made a skeleton car. It starts, runs, moves and stops under it's own power for the painter to move and turn around as he needs. I HOPE he protects the entire engine and front assembly from paint !!

The shrink wrap is a good idea,,i will have to use that one,,when I built my 53 I totally put every thing together including exaust I really didn't know if I could make the Big Block fit everyone said it was impossible they had already tried,so I didn't want to burn any thing while cutting and welding,,Lots of welding , so I wrapped everything in aluminum foil,,easy to put on Cheap and easy to remove,, but I had to remove fuel cell driveshaft and lots of things I could have wrapped if I had thought about the dhrink wrap.

Ha! So thats why you like those so much. I can think of one day, maybe 4 years ago this week, when I was real glad to not have one. RIP 40th anni GTP.

If you can copy the link to your pic from the manage attachments box, then you insert it using the add image icon above the typing box. When that window opens I backspace out the http thats there by default, before pasting the link to your uploaded pic.

That is some great pre-shop prep. You are a far-thinking man. I've said it many times, those original colors look juicy in new pigments. Even.that gold. The 64 Imp I shot was an original color. Looks fine on stockers. The rust pile that looked like a cereal box spilled was on the side that was down on the roto. I'll post more of it a little later.

I got both roof corners patched up and am mostly done with some rustouts in the channel at the bottom corners of the windshield. I am pretty beat but definitely am whittling this thing down. Earlier this week, I got word that the engine should be in sooner than later and woohoo... some potential tire sizes to work with.

If you click the image link in Manage Attachments, the photo opens.
Right click the open photo, hit copy.

Then paste it into the body of your post. Too easy.
